    Default Arc de triomphe saddles

    Hello,
Does anyone have one of these saddles I would like to hear your experience with it? Does it have a comfortable seat? A former student of mine wants to buy one sight unseen *(used) I usually prefer wool flocked saddles but I know she has her heart set on a french model so.....any opinions appreciated!!! How wide is the gullet between the panels (under side) for spine clearance? Thanks! Kim

You can get some of the French saddles wool flocked instead of foam panels, I know for sure that CWD offers that option.

A few people on this BB have the ADT saddle and I have only heard positive comments from them although I don't remember any specifics.

I recently bought an ADT; I quite like it. Nice saddle. Quality.

    Default I wouldn't

When I went horse shopping I rode in one that was LOVELY! So after I bought the horse I went looking for the saddle. After some looking I took one on trial and thank god it was a trial! It felt like a totally different saddle in a very bad way :-( If I found another good one I would buy it in a minute BUT would never buy one without sitting in it.

The one or two AdT saddles I have seen are nice for the money if you must have a frenchie.

Their gullets can be wide enough but not terribly tall. In a continuum that ranged from something like a very flat Devon2000 or Butet to a tall Black Country or Amerigo, it's toward the flat end. But these are very fine differences.
