I will be there to cheer on two of my youngsters - Waterloo S. E., now owned and ridden by Amy Miller, and Zorba S. E. owned by good friend Lori Larson and ridden by Willy Arts. This will be Waterloo's second appearance at the FEI Young Horse Finals - in 2007 he won the 4-year old title!

In case anybody is interested, both horses are by the Dutch stallion OO Seven (Rubinstein x Doruto). Waterloo's dam is by Jazz and out of a Wanroij mare, Kadence Keur Preferent. Zorba's dam is my precious Gelders mare Natuur.

Best of luck to all competitors!

Default Is there a posted list of finalists?

Congrats to all that made the finals. I checked the USEF site to see if there was a list of horses who qualified. I could not find one - only a statement that riders and owners had been sent an email. Does anyone know where the list for the four, five and six year olds migh be found? Thanks.

Just read the blog - like it! Will be fun to follow along.

Confused though - did something happen with your mare, Donna? I thought she was doing the GP this year with Liz Hendrix?

That was the plan and she was ready but we had an injury - so she is retired.

My friend's GRP made the finals for the 6 year olds, he will be making the trip to Lamplight. We think he will be the first Pony in the finals.

Honeylips - I look forward to meeting you and Amy!! Amy keeps me updated here and there and even sends the occasional picture. It's nice to know your horses are doing well and their owners like them.

    Default Congrats Seigi!

Boy, 2 of your horses going. What an accomplishment!

I'm a little surprised they're both by 00 Seven. I love R line horses and was looking forward to seeing him as a young horse in Verden...I think it was 2001?

At any rate, he must have been having an off day bec. he didn't show himself off very well IMO, so I'm thrilled to hear he's throwing nice babies!! Another R line stallion to put on my wish list...

Thanks for breeding such nice horses in the USA-we're a smart lot and I think we're going catch up (surpass?) the europeans sooner than they think!

I'll be there- not riding, but hauling 1 or maybe 2 (waiting to see how the alternates go) out there from MD. Hopefully I can stay through the week so I can get to see a bit and take pics (and maybe meet some of y'all too )

We recieved an invitation for our 4 yr old Fuerst Dancer MF.

However we will not be going up to Lamplight. It is a 24 hour trip and not advisable for a pregnant( yes- Dancer is in foal to Don Principe ~!!!) maiden.

I am so bummed you won't be there. Was really looking forward to seeing you!.
I understand about the haul- it is 36 hours for us- and we are NOT looking forward to that part at all. Other than importing the longest Rocco has been in a trailer is 2 hours. This should be fun.......

My mare (that honeylips found for me!) is a first alternate in the five year olds so waiting to see what happens. We had so much fun last year I would love to go again. Good luck to everyone and safe travels!

We had hoped to qualify a 6 y/o this year, but when we found out the finals were going to be at Lamplight instead of KY, we changed our game plan. A 12+ hour haul is just too long, plus the economy is too shaky to justify spending money on showing.

Good luck to those of you who are going!
