Default Need a barn in Bedford, VA

I am moving to Bedford in the middle of August... The cheaper the better. I can do self care no problem. I did a search and didn't come up with anything. Thanks!

Bedford is a beautiful place, but most boarding barns in the area don't want to bother with self care.

Here are some Bedford/Roanoke area stables:

DISCLAIMER: I don't know anything about any of these places, so I have no clue what they offer or how good they/their facilities happen to be.

I'm not recommending my trainer's place because she doesn't do self care, and only limited pasture boarding. Her rates are certainly not exorbitant, but they're not cheap.
The plural of anecdote is not data.

I don't know anyone who has self care boarders - where in Bedford will you be living and how close do you want to be to your horse(s)?

I will be living off Longwood Ave which is close to downtown (I think?). I will be going to grad school at Liberty in Lynchburg so anything on the way in that direction would work out as well. I found a Rosehill Farm which is under 10 min from my house... does anyone know anything about that facility? Cheap stall board is ok too; I just don't need anything super fancy. My boy is semi-retired at 19 =)

Oh yea, I would like him to be as close as possible, but I can drive up to 20-25 min.

Many many years ago, NorthWind Stables used to do self care. Not sure if they still do.
