    Default Briarwood's Invitational Handy Hunter

Anyone planning on doing it? If so, what height will you be competing at? It sounds like fun, and no entry fee! I think I'm going to enter and then if my first round trip is crappy, I'll just scratch.

Depends on how the horse I'm riding is going this week will determine whether or not I show in it...I'm not worried about him going over the fences, just want him going consistently before we make the drive...will be there regardless, just depends on whether or not he goes
Let the horse go, get out of its way, it knows what to do...Stop pulling and keep kicking!!!!!!

I am still KICKING myself for being on vacation that day. Thanks for reminding me! ;-)
Seriously, I hope Jack and Katie keep this class around because I am there the next time. It sounds like they're really trying to make this a great show - I wish I was around to bring my students!

No problem, I'll just copy what it says in the prize list, since I have it right in front of me.

No entry fee. Trophy to the the winner, pinning to eighth place
Open to horses showing in the Schooling, Suitable or Adequan Open Hunter divisions in Saturday's show. The first round to be scored is the 2nd round of each horse's respective division. Any horse completing that round with no major faults is invited to compete in the second round of this classic which shall be of a Handy Hunter type course. To be shown over 8 to 10 fences at the respective height of the division, with four "option" fences simulating those in the hunt field. A maximum of 10 bonus points may be awarded by the judge to each horse for handiness and brilliance of round.

    Oh that sounds FUN!

Making mental note to remember this for a suggestion for the local shows where I live.

It runs Saturday afternoon, right after the 3 divisions that it's open to.
