Default Oh....no....what happened to Schumacher breeches?

I can't seem to find anyone in the US that sells Cornett and similar styles of Georg Schumacher breeches, ie , natural leather full seat heavy ribbed (you know that indestructable fabric) type britches. Anyone got any suggestions.

If I am not mistaken (and I could be), the Schumacher breeches were picked up by the Trainer's Choice people. Then TC began to manufacture somewhere new and the quality tanked (this part I heard from a retailer who decided to drop their line of TC).

So maybe TC stopped making them.
From now on, ponyfixer, i'll include foot note references.

You can still find a few pairs on ebay. Seems like most of them are new. Here's a link to the current schumachers on ebay: http://shop.ebay.com/items/?_nkw=sch...cher&_osacat=0

What would be the equivalent of Schumacher today available more easily, the same hard wearing ribbed fabrics, thick, durable leather seats and ah...shall we say, un-Pikeur like butt dimension assumptions of those laying out the sizes?

Europeanbreeches.blogspot.com can get you any breeches you want. Just send her an email and let her know that you want those, in what size and color and she can send you a list of what she has.

I too was crushed when I couldn't find Schumacher breeches anymore. They are my absolute favorites!! I did pick some up on e-bay but it does seem like they are just gone in tack stores and online. What a shame!

Why is everyone shitty to SLC? Did I miss something?

I think you're down to ebay or finding them used on various forums.

Please refrain from manure laden language! This is a public forum after all!

Yes you definitely missed something. Follow the trail of cow pies.

I have a pair of older TC breeches, and recently bought a pair. The dimensions seems the same, but the fabric isn't. And the new ones have a fake suede seat instead of leather. The quality seems comparable. I learned that the heavier fabric and full leather are special order options.

Yes, but you'd better be stick thin or GM will disapprove.
