Default My homebred is nationally ranked!

Ok, so it is only beginner novice, but the mare is 5. I also think she is now ranked 6th, instead of 3rd, which was at publishing time, but still!

She is the first foal I bred and is with an ammie in TX. I am so excited for Carol and Fiona.

    From Carol:

In the May/June issue of Eventing USA magazine, Carol Green (riding Fiona) is ranked 3rd in the Top Ten Beginner Novice Adult Amateur Riders!

    Thumbs up

Good for you! She's a cute, workmanlike-looking mare. They look like a happy team.

I am so excited for Carol! When she did the one YEH 4 year old class, the inspector/judge told her he thought they could be competitive nationally at the upper levels, although Carol said she doesn't think she'd have the guts to go that high. We'll see.

Congratulations. As a breeder, this is exactly what you would like to have happen with your breeding program. It is always great to have your horse go to an owner who will make the time and effort to show.

I am thrilled Fiona went to someone who is showing/promoting her. I am amazed as she is actually the first foal I bred, so I think I got really, really lucky!

I am keeping a very close relative (born in March of this year) for myself to compete on.....I keep thinking I should have never sold Fiona, but then I don't event so Fiona is where she needs to be. I'm planning on fox hunting, dressage and some jumpers with Mia when she is old enough, maybe a little eventing but I'll admit, the solid fences without frangible pins scare me to ****!
