    Default Custom Crop/Whip Manufacturer

I am thinking of getting a custom whip for a friend for their birthday (so he stops using mine all the time!)

I was wondering if anyone can give me any recommendations? I did a search on Google, but you can all guess what those results look like. I am looking for something that will have two colors and has a nice heavier feel in the hand. Jumper-style crop.

If nothing exists I will have to get a plain old brown one, but I would love to treat him to a custom crop. Thanks in advance if any of you have a secret little place!

SmartPak has Fowler's Custom Jockey Whips. They also mention that other options are available in addition to the ones available on their Web Site. I also recall a place in England that also makes them. Naturally, the lead time on any of these items would be a number of weeks.

Before I forget, Fleck Crops are great quality and they have many colours and types that you don't see very often.

I know that Dover's carries some of them.

Bit of Britain will do custom Jockey whips which are a little heavier in the hand and are definirely more jump style. They generally take about 2-3 weeks to come in from BoB.

This company also has unique crops/bats.

Be aware, though, that any custom anything is going to be pricey, make sure it's a GOOD friend!

I think Malvern Saddlery does custom whips/bats/crops but anything from them is not cheap. But they also have some gorgeous in stock bats and whips, check out their website and catalog, they always have one of a kind items.

And as already mentioned, Bit of Britain does the racing bats which look nice.
