From watching the feed I noticed there's a big track of sand around the edge of the main hunter ring this year. Is that left over from the aftermath of the torrential storms last year? I remember the ring was really torn up from all the mud. Or was this done preventatively this year in case of more rain? Just makes me wonder if Upperville will eventually follow in the footsteps of Deep Run and switch to sand?
Fortunately the weather in northern Virginia is absolutely perfect today. Keeping my fingers crossed for the rest of the week.
Thanks guys, I guess it just doesn't work on my work computer
I was out there yesterday to school, and it looked like they dumped a bunch of sand in both the hunter rings, especially around the corners where it got so bad last year. I think they pretty much had to b/c last year it was practically unridable in both rings, and very dangerous, IMO, for both horse and rider.
Other wise make sure you have the latest version of windows media player and a high speed internet connection. Hope this helps.
I downloaded this and the Mac plug in, but when I open the plug in thing I get a white box with jibberish and when I go to the equestriansport website it tells me Safari can't find the plug in. Any ideas, anyone?
The first person I saw go in the ringt was the lady riding Side Saddle. It confused me, I was searching the timetable and trying to figure out what was going on. Finally it dawned on me that she was schooling too!
Have they stopped announcing names of horses and riders?
Who was the gorgeous steel grey horse that did his/her warm up around 2 p.m., EDT? S/he was fully braided - main and tail. Very flaxen tail; ridden by a female. Oh my gosh, he must be one of the prettiest horses I've ever seen. His trip was super nice too.
