    Default Transformation complete!

Dragged the camera out to the barn tonight to take some new pics of my horse. I've not charted any of my horses' progress before... but with Windsor I've been super diligent about taking pics every 6 weeks or so.

I think, finally, he is in optimal condition! His feet still need work, that will be ongoing for awhile, but weight/muscle/topline is looking great.

He is living a well deserved life of leisure now, with the occasional light hack thrown in just to keep him busy. He gets a LOT of grooming, too! To say the spark is back in his eye, well I think that is an understatement. He is quite the noble beast and he knows it!

Thanks to all those who have been our cheerleaders and advisers. I couldn't have brought him along without all of the info and support I received from so many friends on COTH.

Nope... I don't think he's there yet. I think you underestimate yourself. I think you'll see his back continue to come up, (behind the shoulders) and his neck to develop.

Because obviously you are SO on the right track.

The light is so beautiful in those shots. I would not know it was the same horse. Even his FACE has filled out. Look at his loins and hips!

He just *glows* with contentment too. He's pleased. You can SEE it.

    Seriously, I'm quite misty.

I am so glad you found each other. Two wounded old soldiers who needed each other. Ya BOTH done good!

Thanks guys! I was so pleased with how he looked in those pics I had to post.

He's gone from being very introverted, to very "look at me" and I have loved watching the change happen. You can't blame him, he is definitely handsome! You would never guess he is 21.

He is quite a lovely mover as well, he naturally wants to use his back and he has a beautiful big trot, and a very balanced canter.

PP your post made me smile.... I keep thinking he cannot look any better, and then he surprises me and something fills in, or changes, and alas he improves even more. I'd love to see his neck and wither/shoulder develop a little more, I am thinking that will come with more consistent riding. He has turned into such a beefcake!!
