I Bought The Filly -- Pics Added 1st Post
My new baby was delivered today. She is by Silvio out of a Chenin Blanc mare. Boy, she's even nicer than I remember! Of course, she's not halter broke, has never had her hooves trimmed, and I don't think she's even been de-wormed. That is pretty easy stuff to fix when you are in loff!
This evening, she came right up to me and wanted kissing and scratches. In the stall, she was very brave and stood like a champ for her first de-worming (small dose of course, we don't want to colic). I'm sure she'll perk up in a few weeks once she is on grain and good grass, but we're going slowly. Silvio tends to through THE BEST BRAINS. I can't get over how this filly stops and thinks before reacting. Priceless!!
Now all she needs is a name. I would like to stay with an Si if at all possible. My last two Silvio babies were Silvation and Sinsational. This one is a keeper, so she needs a great name.
Pictures to come tomorrow.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now that we are back in the country; pictures!
Vegas had her hooves trimmed for the first time yesterday and was a star. She is the sweetest thing and follows everyone around if you happen to be in the pasture. I just can't believe she is mine!

DH wants to call her Sin City (barn name Vegas) since I went behind his back to get her. This is the first name he's come up with and actually, it's not too bad.

As they say... easier to ask for forgiveness than permission!
I like Silvia, although that's probably been done with a Silvio filly already, and Sinderella, barn name Sindy.

If I were the OP, I'd do some wine searching to see if there is either a white wine grape or wine itself from Italy or Spain that begins with Si. That way you'd tie both sirelines together.

That's a good idea. If you want to do a wine, and you don't mind odd spellings, you could do Sinfandel...
The only other one I can think of is Petite Sirah. Maybe a wine expert could chime in?

Sin City was the first name that came to my mind when I saw you wanted Si and had one named Sinsational. Vegas is cute! PICS please!

Thank you for all the wonderful names...wow!! I shot a video of her this morning, but my internet is down at home, so I can't up-load any pictures. It was hard trying to get the video because she followed me everywhere and then wanted hugs and kisses. I can honestly say she is the SWEETEST horse I've ever owned...and I've owned 100's of horses over the years.
As soon as I return home, I'll post some pics and then video. I'm out of town for the next eight days for some much needed R & R. Hopefully, we will have settled on a name by then.

There is one by that name showing currently. It's owned by Hucklebug/Rachel Howell.
