    Default Foxwin Easter Eve

    Dam and foal are being hosted by friends of ours out of town, so we hadn't gotten to meet the baby until yesterday afternoon. The road trip was definitely worth it! We got to be there when she left the barn for the first time...what a hoot. An absolute delight to watch her gain confidence with every lap around the paddock...

    Experienced veteran. All concerned and watchful for the first week, but by the second week, it's all yeah, kid, go play...I'll be over here if you need me... She was the same way with my boy, Sherman, and he was so easy to wean, and is absolutely fearless...gotta like a mom who knows how to cut those apron strings!

    Love the mealy muzzle.....the dam of my boys was a little bay with a mealy muzzle. She always stood out in the show ring with that nose. Very cute baby and you are right....she is a hellion. One wonder where all the energy comes from. Enjoy...I am jealous.

    OMG she looks like baby on catnip in that video!! What a maniac!

    She is so funny! What a little cutie. I love Morgans they are such funny, smart horses.

    She's gorgeous! Naturally, of course, because those folks there at Foxwin breed lovely horses with character!

    I like watching the mom at first when she is "my baby, my baby" and now it's "eh kid...do what you want". Too funny.

    Oh, you are too kind!

    Eve is a real pip; I can't get over how much energy and size she has for just under two weeks old. When the vet came out to do foal check, Eve was just 12 hours old, but the vet said she looked like a week-old foal. And now, she's even leggier and so strong! Look out world! I thought my Sherm was the biggest, baddest foal around, but I think Eve would have kicked his butt!
