They sell insulators for rope fence that work fine with electrobraid, they're available at TSC or just about anywhere.

I have electrobraid also. It's grounded very well and when checked with the meter it's off the gauge.

If you touch it ... it feels like a bee/wasp sting times 50. It smarts for a good hour or so after touching it.

    My horses don't challenge it.

I recently had a boarder move here because her horse was not getting any turnout anymore at the old place because he would not respect the fencing. No trouble with him here.

Mine will not go trough the white rope braid even without the electricity it is so visible and they have been stung in the past.

Those with wood board fence and electric rope, how many strands do you need to keep them off the boards?

I have board fencing around grass paddocks, except for one paddock that is a drylot. That one has a single strand of flat braided electric fencing on the inside of the top board.

I was told by an electrician to take the end where the electricity is wired onto the braid, and comb out the plastic on that part so there is only wire, and wrap the hot lead around that, which will give the fence a stronger "charge."
