Here's our newest!
Born at 7pm last night (mare was polite enough to at least wait to lay down until I pulled in the drive - by the time I removed the weanling from her pasture that I had turned out there and put him in his stall she was halfway through delivering.

This is my newest filly; the first foal of the year for me! She arrived Wed. night just before midnight. She is Contendro/Phantom/Polydor and I'm super pleased with her!

Will have better pics when she gets to go outside ( it is a swamp here).

Hey guys, I know I don't get on here often...thought I'd sign on today and introduce you to Abbey's newest filly.

Foaled March 7, 2009 (Farnley Belshazzar x Helicon Abbey Roads)

I was in Texas on Spring Break. My phone rang at 5:30 AM. "Abbey foaled". My plane landed in Charleston, SC at 9:55 pm...Was in my car at 10:30 pm drove 4 hours home to Greenville to meet her.

She was due on my mom's birthday Feb. 16...was going to name her G Wiz if she was born then (My mom goes by G). Mom and dad were heading down to feed Saturday morning and the convo supposidly went like this:
Mom: "do you think it's here"
Dad: "well it hasn't gone anywhere, it's either in or out."
Mom: "well do you think it's out?"
Dad: "it's out"
Mom: "yea right we will be lucky if it is"
Dad walked first into the barn to the stall while mom went to get feed....she was standing up looking at him....so she's Daddy's Girl.

I have two welsh prefix's Belledeer and JJ's Just.....hers will obviously be...JJ's Just Daddy's Girl...

ok enough blabbering... here she is (if you can tell if her front right has white let me know! I can't tell! Maddie (Abbey's 2006 filly looked like she had white on her front until she was about 4 months...but ended up not)

Our first foal of the season arrived at 5:45 am. He is a Section B Welsh colt, by *Wedderlie Mardi Gras and out of *Holyoake Sonique. This has been a wonderful cross for us, but my filly luck ran out this time, as this is Sonique's 4th foal, and her only colt! But he is a doll and very sweet.
