Default Baby is growing up - at LAST (hair almost gray)

It seems only yesterday I was watching Simone get born (with me hovering quite useless in the stall) and here she is, having gone to a show in Southen Pines on Saturday just to "hang out" - she will be 4 end of May - (and many thanks to my young horse trainer!) -

link to slide show rather than edit down sizes: the fact that it was a dressage show is not to mislead anyone as to her ultimate job title LOL

and I am riding her (a bit now) too! Oh JOY!!!!!

She looks like she had a good time .

Isn't it nice when they're finally old enough to actually do something? Seems like it takes forever to get to that point when you've raised them.

Life goes by pretty fast. If you don't stop and look
around once in a while you could miss it.

    thanks all !!

    - that is not me on her - that is my trainer Diana Hoberecht - I am the photographer

She was happy and very relaxed - I just can't believe how time has sprung forward ( and why the reference to hair going gray - that is how I know time is passing )

Were you missing your full cheek snaffle keepers? Not the bit police here just wondering.

    Looks great, congrats!!

SSF, (don't misread what I wrote below as snarky, I just couldn't figure out how to write it without the excessive use of the word "sometimes". )

Sometimes people choose intentionally not to use the full cheek bit keepers. Sometimes people want the full cheek but the also desire the effects of a loose ring. My 4 y.o. is a case in point. I took the keepers off the full cheek prongs after a lesson with one of my trainers where we decided the bit needed a little more play. Sometimes there's a benefit to removing them.
