I survived the A/O's and 1st Yrs!
This past weekend I competed in the 3'6" Divisions for my first time! Neither Preston nor I have done 3'6" at the shows, but we managed to work our way from 5th places on Thursday to 2nd places on Sunday. And ALL weekend we had fun! I decided this weekend, too, my tag line should be "Amateur Owner: I do [almost] all my own stunts!" after trailering, grooming, braiding and showing my own horse all weekend! The only thing I didn't do was braid his tail...haven't learned that yet.

Good job! He looks great!
Isn't it fun to succeed and do it all yourself!
He is way over those jumps too!

Big Congrats! I remember my first time doing the A/O's, about 8 years ago....I was so nervous, but by the 3rd show, I felt very comfortable, and I had a total packer which really gave me a lot of confidence. Good Luck for the 2009 season.

Good for you Morgan! I can say "I knew her back when."
Preston looks loffly, nice turnout. I miss Wills, what a nice inviting ring of jumps for your first foray into 3'6.

Thanks guys - he really gave me a great first weekend! He has had only a handful of rides since August due to extreme saddle fit issues. I got the new saddle December 18th, and then we worked our tails [well, his tail, my butt] off to be able to do this show.
And if by personality, you mean a big grumpy guy who thinks he knows everything, but doesn't mind being sweet and showing his insecurities to mom -- as long as NO ONE is watching -- then, yes he has quite a personality!
And as for the name...he came with Lenni... :X
