Martha would buy parsnips for her horses. Cavalletti bench was kinda cool though, wonder if it's comfortable at all?

It's a bench? I thought it was just some cavalletti stacked there for show.

Must NOT be nice to sit on!

Is that what it was? Torture tool seemed like a pretty good description.
But why not parsnips? I never tried them with Dobbin. But he loffed watermelon rinds, which the BO had never heard of.

Oh my --- that is hilarious. Must say Martha has a lot of nerve asking Conan over.
Don't you love Martha's balance and steady hands? Too funny listening to her teaching stable management. Love, loved the clip and her horses.

Oh my God I just linked this to all my horsey friends - too funny! She would totally buy papaya for her horses . . . poor Lola just gets Meadow Mints.

I had a customer that brought her horse all manner of fruits. He got a half watermelon on a regular basis to chase around his stall.

On his birthday he was handfed a variety of treats, all dipped in a molassas jar before feeding.

Spoiled? Maybe? Earned it? Um, YUP!

Thanks for posting that! I saw that piece on his show a few years ago. I'm always telling
my "early to bed" friends about it. Now they can laugh their asses off too! Conan can be
    really funny at times.

I'm with Conan. She's scary. DH told me a story of how she showed up at some horse event (I think it was Wintertur) and won the prize for the worst hat.
