He looks wonderful, Flash! You must get a really warm feeling in your heart, every time you look at him. I love the head shots, with those wise old eyes looking out from under a pair of very furry ears.

FG, that is the loveliest pic. Good job you!

Every good day he has is all your doing. All. You. You should feel very good about that.

He looks good Flash — you've done a wonderful job with him. Can't wait to see pictures of him this spring/summer when he's slick and shiny ... and maybe going on a light hack?

There is nothing like a cute grey horses expression. They have those cute button eyes.

    Hey thanks guys.

He really has made my job easy. He's been an excellent patient, and has bounced back very quick with good feed, good care and some TLC!

He was quite introverted at first. He never acted out, instead, you could see him sort of "check out" mentally when he was worried or sore. But he has really come out of his shell now. He is a treat monger, comes right to me in the field, and loves to be fussed over.

I love nothing more than hanging out and watching him play in his turnout. I'm so proud of him... not because of anything I did... but because he really is such a cool horse and has been so tough!

Now if we can get those feet squared away, perhaps we will get to take a little hack like onelanerode said... AG, we could probably ride right over to your place come summer!!

    He looks so happy!

Having won a shy/abused one over myself, there is nothing quite like seeing them come out of their shell and show you how much they enjoy life and how much love & trust they have to give.

To me it just proves a horse's body barely has room for more than the heart.

I think that he is trying to tell you he wants to roll ON the fresh snow! Maybe you can remove his blanket and let him enjoy this natural experience? You can always dry him off and put his blanket back on afterwards. Just a thought.

Oh don't worry I often do! We've had temps in the low single digits the last 7-10 days so he's been rugged up.

Each weeknight I go over and unblanket, turn him out in the indoor, and let him have a good roll/scratch... it is his favorite thing!
