This is why everyone should own a punk pony. That is my kind of pony She'd fit in well here.

Agreed. Ponies were put on this earth to terrorize children and children to terrorize ponies.
Spaghetti Legs: The pony does have her number but when she figures out how to deal with the pony she will have really figured things out and it will stick with her forever.

The warner spills and chills video is one of my favorites.

And Merlin is absolutely spectacular in every way.

    What about bareback puissance?

True...but that kid has absolutely no business jumping if she's going to roll off everytime the pony slows down and lowers its head!! Good grief, wth is wrong with that "instructor"? Not to mention smacking the pony in the mouth over every jump. I'd stop/buck too.

A story worth watching...Thanks for that link. I, too, am in awe of the dedication of the people who believed enough to save this guy and of his spirit who didn't give up.

Your ignorance is amazing. Why don't you educate yourself about the strategic placements of the impediments to the bulls movements before espousing any more asinine remarks. They put them there for a reason.

Nobody is condoning the abuse of the bull but appreciating the movement of the horse. It's a horrible cruel sport but I can admire the skill of the beautiful horse while at the same time feeling sorry for the bull and ashamed it is a sport. I'm not sure why you can't understand the difference.

It was Scimitar: The Story of Bunny. About a yearling that had a tree branch stuck 6 inches into his skull just missing the brain. The story is about the people that saved her and her trials of rehabilitain. The horse couldn't stand by himself for almost a year.

    Here is the link

Most adults would fall off if their horse slammed on the brakes and put his head down to the ground to graze immediately on landing from a jump. And little kids are usually just not strong enough to stay on something like that no matter how good they are.

I do agree that the instructor is at fault though for letting this continue though.

If you are a dork for loving "Breathe" so am I. It is one of the few videos I have bookmarked and I didn't know it had moved. Now I have a new bookmark.

    Default OK here's mine!

It never fails to put a catch in my throat of sheer joy...and a big grin on my face.

    http://www.westfallhorsemanship.com/...=category&id=2

Go to the bottom of the page and click on the first link on the left.

For those who aren't familiar with reining...there is a set pattern that is ridden mostly with a slow circle and then a larger faster circle in both directions..figure eights and lead changes ....then the slides and spins.

    She won of course.

What if YOU were impaled & impeded & someone rode their horse around you???

I thought Merlin was amazing too and shared it with horsie DH who turned if off after 40 seconds and said: bullfighting disgusts me.
