Mods, not trying to sell anything from this thread, but need advice as to best place to sell them.
I've got some other misc. tack items that I want to sell. I've never sold on e-bay and won't do craig's list. The tack stores in my area only give store credit for consignment items. Where's the best place to offer these items? I know there's a place here on COTH to sell things. Any other suggestions? Thanks for your input!

If you're just trying to get rid of them, you might donate them to a horse rescue. You get a nice tax deduction, and the rescue gets either items it can use, or can sell to support the horses. I'm not sure, but I'd guess even the shipping could be deducted.
I've had good luck on ebay selling used tack but be sure you absolutely honest about the condition and photograph any defects for the potential buyer to see.
I sold a Myler Pelham a bit ago. The thing cost me about $110 new. I'd only used it a few times. I stuck it in the dishwasher, photographed it and put it up for $25.00. Someone in England bought it for $95! Who knew? Sometimes you're surprised at how much an item will be bid up to.
However, you can get burned as other things you can put up and no one wants it and you've paid whatever the fees are.
Sorry! But that barn smell is my aromatherapy!

I got a Stubben bit at one of the VTO sales- I think it was like $67. I used it a few times, pony hated it, and someone in Australia bought it for $70, lol!
But right now e-bay is as slow as molasses. Even companies that usually make good money on no-reserve auctions are cutting back auctions and using "buy it now" instead, I think because people just aren't spending money.
All great ideas. Thanks everyone. Had a bad experience with Craig's List which is why I am shying away from it this time.
I don't think I'd do well on e-bay since I've never sold anything there and I think I read where you need to have a good selling history in order for people to want to buy from you. I've bought but never sold.
I'll look into the other links mentioned here. Thanks again!
