What bloodlines did he cross with for his approved stallion sons?

I had heard about his arrival earlier. What is his EVA status?

Can't be positive as they won't allow him to go in to the country.

It's not checked when stallions are brought into the US. It wouldn't be the end of the world. It's totally manageable with a few simple percautions.

I don't think Canada lets EVA stallions in. They check.

I too was told by a large breeding farm that they do check stallions for EVA and they are not allowed in if they test positive.

Maybe so, but I know of at least one successful breeding farm in California that will not accept any mare who is scheduled to be bred (via AI) to an EVA positive stallion.

Some are okay with the risk, others are not.

The website for the farm in Canada states that he is EVA negative.

I was cruising ED this morning (only procrastinating going back out into the cold, I swear) and there are some photos of W II & his offspring in Denmark here - just scroll down.

He is by far, my FAV Weltmeyer son. He will be quarentined near me so I will forsure be getting out to see him, and, of course, posting a report here.

Nancy and Kathleen are AWESOME people to work with, they must be so excited!
