Default Found the baby daddy!-for real this time!

Long story short I am in possession of a mare (rescued today). I have her papers and all that and I was told that she's in foal to a stallion from WV. I would probably remember his name if I saw it, but is there any way to find out?

    ------------------------------------------
Ok! I found out who the stallion is; Cowboy Kyle from WV and the mare is Emerald Verse. I guess i'll just have to wait and see what pops out!
    --------------------------------------------

    The sire is Cowboy Carson!

If you get a pedigree from Equineline and she is in foal to a TB, it will be at the end of the ped report. Note: this is not free.
I'm a sucker for a hungry horse, and they know it!

The only Cowboy Kyle on equineline is a gelding, but if he is the same horse, then here is your foal

According to the Jockey Club this mare has never produced a foal and there is no report of a breeding this year so most likely the sire is not TB.

I was told she had a foal previously and it died a few days after birth from getting it's leg stuck in a stall gate. The owner only does racehorses so I doubt she would be bred to anything but a TB... is there a chance they didn't register her breeding? They didn't seem like the most competent people.

Anythings possible, but if she has been bred to a TB it has never been reported to the JC. Even if the foal dies and that's not reported the stallion's report of mares bred would show the mating took place and the JC report for the mare a comment of No Report for that year. This mare's report is a complete blank.

    Default Cowboy Carson

Cowboy Carson is your sire Cowboy Kyle is unrelated. Contact Maple Valley Farm at 304-876-6024 or 304-389-8766 that is where he stands. They should be able to give you breeding dates and provide you with a stallion certificate at foaling if fees are paid if not paid they may be willing to work with you. I recommend foaling her in WV to take advantage of a very lucrative breeders program, hope this helps

Thank you for that info, Cowboy Kyle was the name originally given to me, but he's obviously a gelding! I'm not sure what breeders program you're speaking of... I've only had OTTBs!

Thanks Jessie P! I have no intentions on racing the baby (nor would I know how to if I wanted to!) i'm just interested in pedigree.

I don't know if that is a horrid pic or what but that is one of the weirdest looking horses I have ever seen. I hope your foal takes after Mama!
