Hubby took me for a shopping spree at Bartville tack. Came home with two chestnut color halters, one havana oversize halter for big head boys, oversize hunt bridle, one black dressage bridle, one pair of the softgrip rubber reins, gag cheekpieces, standing martingale attachment, cob size rubber reins and lots of assorted martingale stoppers and reins stops. It's amazing how much quality tack you can buy there for such a cheap price. The a pair of SSG rancher gloves from Dover Saddlery.

My boy looked awesome out hunting in his new hunt bridle on Boxing Day

I got a meter wheel so that I can figure out how fast I'm going at home and be better prepared at events. I also got ROCKING honda linked generators--very quiet, and I can lift them!

But the best present wasn't for Xmas at all. I won a major bet, and now I have my stackhouse saddle. It's totally, wonderfully amazing.

The Tack Room? I just got a card in the mail saying they're having an after Christmas sale all this week. 20% off storewide (except for saddles, trailers, and custom stuff). Runs from this Saturday to Saturday the 3rd of Jan. Lessonlearned and I were thinking of taking a trip up this week if she doesn't go to PA.

Nothing glamorous but Santa brought me a new helmet, which I love. I took advantage of some of the after-Christmas sales and bought myself some new winter riding gear - thermal breeches, winter riding boots, wool socks, etc... Merry Christmas to me!

A velvet Troxel helmet - so now I can be a princess and not have to switch out my XC helmet cover....

And a couple of saddle pads -I will force myself to retire the 2 shrunken ones that don't fit at all anymore.

And a Carhartt barn coat. Preceded by an email from DH on Tuesday that said "what size are you?". But I had given heavy hints and he knew my old barn coat was velcro'd together.

And best? Perfect weather for a Christmas day hack.

A Devoucoux Short Anatomical Girth, Chiberta saddle pad, Del Mar boots, breeches, and a bucket carrier. It kind of looks like a muck cart, but it carries two buckets (with lids), and you can get different attachments to put on it instead of buckets.

I gave myself 2 blankets, bell boots, and some other things. Even w/ Dover's Ridiculous shipping charges, I still came out really well because of the great sale on Rhino blankets. I never use Dover, but I couldn't resist this time!

Yay! Everybody got a few nice things!

Santa gave me four full days at my trainers, which started today. My boy is staying over there and I have a lesson each day. I am in HEAVEN. This is the nicest thing I've ever gotten. I had the best ride today, I'm sure it was because I wasn't thinking..."gotta really make this count, this really needs to be good, don't know when I can get over here again..."

Happy New Year everyone. We are truly blessed to have horses in our lives, and all the wonderful people who seem to go along with them. I feel very, very lucky right now.

I got a dressage saddle and my Pro II in PINK! It looks so cool, and feels good, too (no more death-smell hat!).

Vernon finally got his new Fleeceworks pad, from me.
