Default Kayla and Crabby go to a show NEW pictures...for child with special needs...

    Hi everyone!

Could anyone give me any leads on looking for a nice safe med or large pony for a student of mine with special needs? She has Williams Syndrome http://www.williams-syndrome.org/for...illiams.html#1
Her parents cant express how much riding has helped her!!

We were hoping to get a pony that had therapeutic riding experience but it didn't work out.

Her parents were really hoping to find her a pony for Christmas.

She is able to walk on her own, she can post and do her jumping position. She also loves to walk over ground rails. She's not a huge fan of trotting.

Something that is sound for light work is ok. Her goal is to do a special olympics show this summer.

I'd appreciate any leads so maybe we can make this girls Christmas the best ever!!

    Default Kashi's Hony?

What about the 14.3 large pony (close enough) that Kashi has advertised in the giveaway section? Former lesson horse, small quiet, light work only, Cute!

You might want try again she said in the other thread that "if for some reason you contacted me and I missed it, please send again ("email member" would be even better, as the PMs seem to fill right up!). I just had surgery on Monday and have been a little out of it. I promise to give you as much information as I can to find him a great home."

Just bumping this up for my student.

We had the whole family excited about a nice pony, but it looks like it's going to fall through because I'm just a riding stable, nothing special like a therapeutic stable or rescue, so I can't give the person a tax write off. So according to the persons accountant there's nothing we can work out. ( i do appreciate the person for trying, I dont want to sound rude)

There is a possible small horse in KY, but I'm not sure how we would get her here if it works out.

Any other leads would be greatly appreciated!!

Paris I'm not sure if you live close enough but by me there is the Unadilla horse auction every other Friday (next one 12/26 and then once a month until March) Anyhow horses and ponys have been bringing next to nothing last auction there where 22 horses/ponys and the highest one went for 300 and low was 5 average was 170. Some are pretty decent horses for the price. Just an Idea for you wish you the best of luck.

    Paris-

What if your pony from the other person needing a tax deduction could donate the pony to a bonafide 501.c.3, and then, it was adopted out to you? Would that work?

PM me if this sounds feasible...
