    Default Free Thoroughbreds

I had read this on FHOTD blog not too long ago and checked it out today. It's a listing (nationwide) of TBs in need of a home. All of them are free of charge:

    Sigh! So many need homes.

Don't forget the ocala4sale website too. lots of horses are free or dirt cheap on that website also.

    Default free tbs

I've contacted a couple of people on there, close to me, and they each had a horse listed on that site? and each informed me the "purchase price" was $1000-2500. How can it be listed as free if they're really for sale??

If that's the case, you need to forward the correspondence to Editorial@TheHorse.com and make them aware of the problem. They can't do anything about it if they aren't informed.

I agree with EponaRoan. The website was set up for FREE placement. If someone is selling their horses, then the Editor needs to be notified for removal of the ads.

equinemeet, the website that I posted "FREE THOROUGHBREDS" is a listing of Thoroughbreds FREE to a good home. However, apparently, there are some people posting their horses on there, but when persons contact them inquiring about the horses, the owners then tell them they are for sale.

The creators of that listing created it ONLY for FREE to good home horses...not as a way for people to SELL their horses.

If anyone finds any horses that the owners are SELLING on there, the person that found the ad needs to report the ad to the editor along with an e-mail or correspondence in which the poster of the horse says the horse is for sale....not free.

Yes, this category is for free horses (Marketplace>Giveaways) which is why that link was posted.
