Hello, I live in the Suffok, VA area. I have a beautiful, black, adult male cat that I rescued from abandonment 2 years ago. Some people moved and just left him to fend for himself. He was a domesticated cat that had been fed by humans every day so he must have had a really hard time trying to survive on his own in the wilderness. I saw him wandering on the side of the road one evening so I pulled my car over, got out and walked toward him. I said, "hi kitty", and he looked up at me with his big, beautiful green eyes and meowed. It broke my heart so I knew I couldn't just leave him there. He let me pick him up and rode quietly all the way home with me. He was literally as thin as a rail, starving, and not nuetered. I took him in, fattened him up and had him neutered and vaccinated. He is one of the most gentle, loving cats I have ever met. He loves to curl up in your lap and has the most soothing purr you've ever heard. I live in the country, way off the roads so he is allowed to be an indoor/outdoor kitty. He loves to lay in the hay loft of my old barn. The reason I am trying to find him a similar good home is because I recently came down with serious health issues. I have tried all the rescue facilities and they are completely full. If you are an animal lover and have a house/farm/barn off the beaten path and would like to give my little fella a good forever home, please reply. I will deliver him up to 75 miles away for free just so I know he is going to a good, safe home.
