Oh my god. It's like I died and went to TB heaven. I LOVE Company Approval. I wish I could have him for my very own to make loffly babies. Except that I don't know anything about breeding. Or owning a stallion. Oh and I can't afford ANY horse right now. Details, details.

omgih LOFF. Why don't I have teh monies??

Hey, it looks like Company Approval used to stand at Xanthus Farm in Pennsylvania. Do you think they might be interested in him or his babies? I wish I could do something, I just don't have any funds for any horse. I hate to feel so helpless.

    Could $25 help anything?

I am so cursing the fact that my winning powerball ticket hasn't come yet...
There are several horses on that farm who would be coming home with me if it had!!

but 5 hours is probably too long for me to keep going "just a little further Dad" as he's driving the trailer unknowingly unaware that we are going to an auction.

Ivy Miss is very, very good looking for an 18-year-old broodmare. Selling open...she is in nice condition!

There are some very nice horses on that list - the With Approval babies are VERY Nice and well bred..

Also the Chesnut colt at the very end by Hot Shot Valor is well bred too..

    Wish I were closer...

Has anyone called to see what they want for these babies?

    bumpity bumpity boo!

    Is anyone from COTH going?

Even if you can't take a horse, if everyone on here tells two or three people who can either contribute to the rescue fund, or who might know someone in the area, that would be awesome.

Again, folks from outside the area, ILEHC is willing to work with you to bid for you, if you're interested in any

You so can never meet my mother!!!

Her conversations include a "just do it" followed by "why not" & "oh just go ahead" with a "you only live once" sometimes thrown in. And the final one is "well we just won't tell your father".

My all time favorite was "I'll just turn him out & see how long until he notices". This is when I was 11 & we bought a pony while dear dad was at work. She then rationalized it to me (she was teaching me young) with "he's small, he poops small & he only eats a handful of grain". I love my mom.

Good luck shopping to anybody that goes. There are some good looking horses.

I really like Carrot Top (Western Playboy) pedigree -the sire line is the same as the famous xx sporthorse sire sacramento song?). And she also comes from the mare family of Palace music --the sire of Cigar (take a look at Come hither look) with the grand little current thrown in there.
(and she has Pretense who has the same mare line as Touch of class)

Has a donation fund been created that could be applied towards the most "at risk"? I can't take a horse, but can contribute an amount- would others also be willing to contribute a donation- perhaps the ILEHC is accepting donations? Anyone know?

ILEHC is accepting donations and I believe will be applying them to the at risk types. Their contact info is on the first page.

Thanks, I sent an email to them and will be donating. Hope others do to and that it will help! FYI, I've included a post on my blog, and in my facebook account and will update it with this donation contact information. I bet others have done so too, but just an idea for those who haven't! Spreading the word and including the donation contact information to all of your contacts may help- I sure hope so!

There are probably many who would be willing like me to contribute an amount to go towards this, even if they can't buy or foster a horse. I hope that I hear back from ILEHC about my donation.

    Thanks!

    Another shameless bump

This place is just up the road a ways from me, but alas, I cannot take on another horse (was lucky enough to be able to sell one to a great home). I have, however, posted this all over my facebook and myspace pages, hoping that some of my horsey friends will take a look. He's to hoping they all get a 2nd chance!!!

Love those 2006 Company Approval horses, particularly Company One. I so wish I had the money for another horse.
