Default CANTER is coming to Colorado!!!! Yippee!!!!

It's confirmed. I spoke with the trainer who is organizing the program. This is a much needed program. She expects it to be up and running this spring. It should be on the main website soon.

If anyone wants to help, email me (through the website, below) and I will put you in touch with the person organizing this. She is thrilled to have assistance! I plan on meeting up with her after final exams!

    Hurray!!!!
I'm in CO and I am gonna get me one of them CANTER horses!!!!!
And I will be able to go to the track and eyeball it myself, and pick it up in my own trailer.
I am so very very excited.
I was going to have to enlist some COTHer from back east to be my eyes and ears, but now.....Oh this is such good news.

Be assured, we will be heavily promoting the CANTER CO cuties next spring for all to see. I'll post the website here when it is published, which should be soon

I am sure that people will be taking road trips to come see them. I mean, Colorado is such a gorgeous place to visit, this will be a great excuse! Gosh, Kansas and New Mexico are "just down the highway"

Looking forward to the new site.
Besides myself I know of a couple of others who might be in the market for an OTTB at that time.
We have been window shopping on CANTER and FL, but are always deterred by the distance to the east coast.

    OH SHIT. I'm am SCREWED.

Say it with me, people: "I do not need another horse. I do not need another horse. I do not need another horse..."

(I am *thrilled* that our OTTBs will have CANTER, but I KNOW they'll end up in may barn!)

Simkie, know what you mean. My two OTTB's were bought when we lived in Colorado.

I do not need another horse, I can't afford another horse, I don't need another horse,
    I can't afford another horse, I want another horse--sigh!

This is great news! Beware! CANTER can be addicting. I got my recent OTTB off the trainer listings on CANTER and now I check the site several times a week, just to see whats out there. Yey for the horses, and kudos to the trainer who is promoting this program.

This is AWESOME news! Lucky for me, despite all my wants, I can NOT afford one right now, plus I have no place to put one...so I'm safe. Being a parent who's returned to school and currently has medical bills out the butt is actually paying off for a while! I can still drool, though

Let me know if there's room to help in some way in SoCo. I have vehicle, camera, experience with OTTBs, and am willing to travel

Aaand, now back to my own finals. Yick

HeHe. Now, all we need is a farm (not mine, with the 70 mph winter wind and snow), where we can lay up at-risk horses that need some time off. We have some at risk teenage girls who would LOVE to help...

We'll get there. I can't wait until the spring, and CANTER CO starts listing horses! Whoo hoo!

Excellent! I would be happy to volunteer. FP, should I email you on your main email (info@coloradoTBrescue)?
