    Default Favorite Denim Breeches?

I want some denim full seat schooling breeches. Any comments? Anyone have the TuffRider ones?

    Pikeur!
Times and traditions in the horse world shift and change, much of the old grandeur has been lost; But for one brief shining moment, there was a gigantic shocking pink d**** in the Hunterdon tack room.

I can't recommmend them. I have the TuffRider ones. When damp with rain or perspiration, they can really rub/irritate your skin.

I like the look of the Goode Rider ones, but are they really denim or just material that looks like denim?

    Talking Real Denim Breeches!!!

    Coreene,

My favorite demin breeches were by Millers (remember that company )

After Millers closed, I found this company with the exact same jeans! Amazingly, the owner said she copied the Miller's jeans that she loved!

I wear the tapered leg style but there are regular breeches with suede knee patches.
No seams that rub and they are a good weight denim.

    No fullseats though!
Could you channel your inner Hunter Princess and school in breeches with knee patches?

If you must be a DQ and have your Full Seats

I suggest you try Equissentials in navy (looks like denim) French Terry.

The French Terry is like riding in your yoga pants and the leather F/S just molds to your bottom!

AND they will custom make them at no x-tra fee. AND they will re-size/re-cycle their breeches at minimal cost.

They also have them in moleskin and leather.
But, I see you in the leopard print leather! Tres Chic!

Fabulous! Love 'em! Yes, no problem with kneepatch. Would be fab if she'd had them as full seats, but I'll live. Clever of her for doing those, they are great. As for the leopard print, I will bow out gracefully. Oliver would be horrified. Bad enough that he is getting a red Mattes pad. Or already has an orange Anky one.

I haven't seen the Goode Rider ones in person but in photos they almost look as if they have a denim-looking fabric.

Ultimately I will indulge in some of the Pikeur denims, but right now I don't want to blow the $$. Though I do love 'em.

I corrected the link for the horsewomanspirit denim breeches: http://www.horsewomanspirit.com

Maybe you could email and suggest she add full seats to her line?

    Just kidding. Just kidding.
I can imagine that Oliver would be horrified.

    Let alone Aunt Esther.

And God forbid Willem looked down from horse heaven and saw such a display!

    About Willem and ugly-ass clothes.

Every Christmas season I always remember Willem's lecture on "What NOT to get your horse for Christmas":
    http://www.chronicleforums.com/Forum...ad.php?t=35752

"Don't nott to buy no ugly ass things for us to wear und then say it be a present for us, it don't nott to be, it be for you."

    Truer words were never spoken!

I don't think he would approve of ugly-ass leopard breeches for humans either!

And when he looks down and sees Ollie in his flaming orange ear net, he shakes his head and says "better you than me, dude."

The Pikeur ones are the most flattering... that's why they are the most expensive. The denim Gooderiders have a "pinstripe" in it... I am not in love with the look, and since they are low rise, they run a little smaller (to me anyway)
    Doesn't Ovation make some too?

Willem always had a way with his words, and he had such class... maybe his Christmas list should be re-run for new people who never got to meet him?
There are so many new COTH'ers that have horses that will benefit from his list. Maybe Oliver can add a few of his own what not to gets on the list?

Denim breeches have to be the best idea since sliced bread. I would live in jeans entirely if it weren't for having to ride in breeches. Because of cost, I got the TuffRider ones. But, ugh... they chafe. Get a little sweaty, and my bum and knees are raw. They also stretch out too much and by the end of a long day riding I have a baggy butt which is not attractive.

I'm holding out for the Pikeur's. Good to know they are flattering. It is after all THE most important quality. Maybe I'll win the lottery!
