Default What size breeches do YOU wear.....

I'm just about to place a large order of riding breeches, and I think, after my last order, I should ask around what are the most common sizes, what is the bell curve so to speak. I ordered mostly the smaller sizes before, but they are going fairly slow....... where as the larger sizes were gone in the blink of an eye.

So HELP me make a good business decision.

(and so it wouldn't be perceived as advertising, I have removed my tack store link)

The ones I have are 30 long Ariats. I haven't bought a pair in a LONG time, but I just whipped them out to try them on, and since they still fit, I guess that's the size I would buy if I were to get more.

Short ones. I'm tired of rolling up the cuffs. (:

Ariat 28R... They accomodate my hips without being *too* much too large in the waist (though they are still too large in the waist... just not as bad as other brands)

PS--would you please PM me with your link? Wendy mentioned your fleece-lined half chaps and I'm curious. (: Will you be at the SCA practice this weekend?

I picked the 36 (18 48) catagory, but in truth, I've not worn breeches in ages.

I purchased a pull up pair 3 yrs ago to take English lessons in again, and they looked horrid on me, and needless to say, I wasn't have the best physical time of it, so I didn't complete my 8wks of lessons.

Sadly, your chart doesn't go up high enough for me.

    DITTO!

I like them lowrise without a super tight waist. I can't stand the ones that are so freaking tight on the waist. ouch

I voted 26, since that's my waist (and what size I usually order) but it really depends on how they fit. Also, I'm fairly short, so the 26's are usually too long; I'd love to find more breeches that you can specify lenght, as well as waist.

OHHHHH, you are going to die when you see those! The are the REAL MERINO WOOL, and I'm wearing them today, my legs are soo nice and toasty, they are a gift!!!!!! I don't know how I survived without them. Yes I will be at the SCA practice with what I have left LOL, they are selling like hot cakes!

Pull ups never fit well in my opinion, good breeches are what it takes to be comfortable. This brand that I'm selling has a variety of female breeches, none are the same. They are mostly actually made in Europe, and are of a real high quality. You can order them custom for just $10 more to fit your length. Just a fabulous company to deal with. And I buy 1 pair a year, and they usually last me years, with riding daily, wearing daily. Washing in the machine, line dry (aka dryer without heat for me )

I gained 93 lbs during my pregnancy, and in my process of loosing the weight, I went through just about every brand there is, spent a TON of money, only to end up with my original brand of choice.

The interesting part is that I actually purchased mostly 6, 8, 10's and only a few in the higher sizes, whereas those flew of the shelves, and I'm still stuck with some 6, 8 & 10's, but it looks like I should be able to sell those

I'm 30L. Don't forget about the L's, so frustrating when often I find nice breeches, but they only have them in R!

Can you PM me the link to your tack store? I'm local and would love to support a local retailer. Plus, I have some return consideration, seeing as you shopped with us at tractor supply when I managed the store in Lockport.

Why do plus size women always get the shaft???? We like to be well dressed too, and yes, we ride--might not be as cute in breeches, but we want to be comfortable, and there's LOTS OF US!!!!!

26XL. I gave up finding breeches that fit a long time ago.

28R low rise TS. Need low rise because I am extremely short-waisted - anything else is uncomfortable and looks foolish.
