Irish - a new family is on her Christmas Wish List
~~ Spinning off from our Secret Santa for Rescues thread ~~
Please help spread the word about Irish!
She wants a new family to call all her own.
Read more about her below:
IRISH - 25 or so year old paint mare.
Last November Irish was surrendered by her owner in co-operation with local animal control. She was emaciated - ribs and hips sticking out. She was previously a local childrens hunter. Now she had mutiple loose and infected teeth that were extracted, and the remaining ones were worn to the gumline. Thanks to the care of the wonderful folks at USERL, plenty of purina senior, alfalfa cube, and beet pulp mashes she has blossomed again!

Irish is available for adoption now through the United States Equine Rescue League. Please contact fellow COTH'er DVM2003 for more information about adopting Irish! Or visit the USERL Tidewater/NC website above for more information about this hard working rescue league.
Irish is a gorgeous girl, and I hope she finds her forever home for Christmas, along with those other beauties that are ready to go. That colt, Snickers, is very interesting looking with those spots (I'm assuming those are spots).
Snickers is a cutie, isn't he? I bet he is even more flashy in person
USERL does cover a large area (VA, NC, IN, and KY), so even if you are not in the immediate area, if you are interested, please contact DVM2003 ! Let's help find all these foster kids great new homes this Christmas!
Irish,25 yr old paint mare. This lovely old gal is reported to have carried many children to blue ribbons in hunter classes. Her advanced age limits the amount of riding she could do but she would be suitable for leadline or short walks around the farm. Irish is missing teeth and her remaining teeth are very worn. She requires senior feed/beet pulp and can not eat hay. Irish loves people and is waiting patiently for her retirement home.
