There's one at Dover Saddlery in their "closeouts" section that comes in hunter, navy, chocolate brown or lilac for $39.99. That's a real deal. I bought it yesturday.

I didn't even look at Dover. I never thought Dover would have one priced that LOW. And it's probably a good quality too.

    Thanks!

You can browse here for ideas, and then check the site's state-by-state tack shop locator to see if there's something available in your area, or shop for it online. There is also a comparison feature beneath each product.

No suggestions as folks already posted great ones.

Just wanted to ask if I could be your student too! What a thoughtful gift!

This website seems to have a good selection and all seem to be a pretty good price.

Also this website compares a bunch of different places.

the mice ate the wool cooler I won in 1970. I am sad and need to replace it.

I'm not a big fan of Schneiders blankets, but I did get this wool cooler at an Expo a few years back and I really like it. It's reasonably priced:

Just a tip -- we put pressed cedar sheets on the back side of our tack closets to deter mice and moths -- and in five years we've never had a problem.

Welllll, there's a vendor at the expo coming up that has a good deal on wool coolers, *IF* you buy two at once. Unfortunately, I can only use one, so I had to pass on it last year. I was hoping to get it this year, but, I still need only one and haven't found anyone who wants one too so we can buy them together and both get the deal.

$40 for a wool cooler isn't bad, but it's $50 for one. Last year, it was $35 if you bought two at once, but they've raised their prices.
