this picture means a lot to me because it's one of those candid pictures. I love the little girl that I'm talking to. She is an amazing rider, and I really love how we both did the same things with our hands
My daughter and her horse, just got thru schooling at a show last month, photo taken by my trainer who also used to be a professional photographer--this picture has already got her 3 photo shoots from my horsey friends http://pets.webshots.com/photo/23073...55040504uWBiGV
And last but not least, this photo is my daughter and her first pony Genie, we were at the Region VI Connemara show, they had just won the Half-Breed Connemara in-hand and were walking out of the arena. I miss that pony!!! http://pets.webshots.com/photo/14649...55040504MucDYT
I know what you mean. I love taking pictures and try and try, and most are still deleted. But every now and then . . .
Here are two of my favorites, both of the same horse (although wearing different colors).
The first one was one of the OMG moments when it's like it was set up for you. After all the effort, suddenly you happen to look over, and the horse is absolutely posed and still and the lighting is perfect. The sun was setting behind his ears. I love this shot - and on this one, I could have taken 10 of them. He was just posed for it. But I knew I had it in one.
Second picture is from a few weeks ago, just spontaneous play. The silver yearling was galloping around doing tempi changes, just for the fun of it, performing his own solo dressage test while his elders were more sedate. Pure exuberance - and this shot is the only one of about 10 that was worth anything from that session. Sometimes, I think as hard as we try, the best photos have that luck element.
