Default Katie Price does more dressage

    Here is the article:

    http://ukpress.google.com/article/AL...iDdGML3GcdL-9g

It's actually pretty funny.....talk about celebrity exposure to dressage.

    Here are some pics:

Looks like she's still using her hand for balance. Put that horse back in a snaffle!

I think she looks hot up there. I can't tell much about her riding because these pictures are, to say the least, from angles not conducive for critique. What is that phrase they say? Oh yeah, ANY publicity is good publicity! I can't fault her for capitalizing on her fame while she takes lessons from the best instructors and rides on the best of schoolmasters. Ps. We've seen far, far worse riding. Admit it!

I actually boarded my horse next to hers (years ago) and she is very nice but I still cannot to this day picture her other than Jordon on page three.

I don't understand - when I last read about her, she was competing - not an exhibition - at something equivalent to first level. Now she's an exhibitor at a level with the double bridle? Why? Just so she can wear sparkles?
...Granted, she totally stole my idea - and I had my bedazzler all ready to go!

It still looks like she's at intro or first level... I don't recall that any of those pictures even showed a canter. I think she just put on a double bridle so she could wear sparkles. (:

I noticed that too but did not want to mention it since I already made a comment that was not my usual positive sort of comment.

    Talking

Besides looking petrified, leaning way back, riding off the back of her leg, with the imminent possibility of strangling herself in the reins, what's wrong with the pictures.

She may be a sweet girl, but she is making another breed of equidae of herself.
Some riders change their horse, they change their saddle, they change their teacher; they never change themselves.

I'd love to have her horse however! He looks like a gem to own.

I venture to guess that if this were a middle aged, new to dressage hobbyist who didn't look so good in those clothes that a lot of people would think it was wonderful.

Who cares, really? The horse looks just fine about it all. We've ALL seen worse riding. At least she is getting good instruction and appears to be serious about it, bling and all.

Lastly, anything that gets people interesting in dressage as a spectator sport is a good thing, for the most part!

Oh god... my *bitch* gloves are on. Vent ahead:

For someone who designs a clothing range for equestriennes you would hope her tails fit her better than that... they look like a sack on her.

And as for the lack of stock/hairnet, don't get me started.

But oh my... that's a very sweet horse, it can come live with me

And yes, I have seen far worse riding than that... but not by people wearing top hat and tails...

I'm going to crawl back into my hole having succumbed to the "beast within"

if having her show brings more straight male spectators, my single gal pals and I are all for it! Katie's not the only one in it for the clothes

Wow.. you must live where the air is rarified. You can routinely see worse than that at just about anywhere.

Maybe she is going clubbing afterward.

OMG...I just now looked at the photos that accompanied the OP.

I have one world for her:

    CHAV!!!!!!!

She will do to dressage what the boy racer/chav set did for burbury...

At least she is trying to clean up her act a bit, but we really have to worry when Jody Marsh takes up the sport...puke.

I have a feeling that Katie Price will do more to make dressage popularized than just about anything else, short of team gold medals.

She is a REAL person, in public, learning to do a complex and subtle sport and she is getting press coverage.

    wow!
