I just discovered that I'm only 15 minutes away from this show and might as well head over there to see the evening session tonight. What's the parking situation like?

Plenty of parking there....no biggie. There's hardly anyone in the stands - so the more to cheer the merrier

Well, yeah, I know it's done to open up the horse's stride and create impulsion, but I don't think most kids (or adults for that matter) know why they're doing it or what it's used for. I see it at local shows in short stirrup.

I just wonder how/why it went from the jumper ring to the hunter ring. Or why on earth you'd do it in the eq ring. Isn't it the whole point of equitation to be able to do everything invisibly? Maybe I'm just getting old and crabby.

    Default Caroline Crews

Did any one see Caroline Crews and Hallelujah? I switched screens and missed the beginning of their first trip then my computer decided to freeze and unfreeze during their entire second trip... ugh!! Anyway, can someone tell me how they did? They are a friend of a friend and she is a sweetheart! What a GREAT class overall! Hat's off to all these pony jocks!
