Default Looking for unwanted leather items for art project

Anyone have any old unwanted leather tack they would like to have immortalized/recycled in a piece of art?

I'm looking for strap-type items (need lots!!), like bridles or pieces of bridles, stirrup leathers, martigales, even old girths, broken or crappy is OK, doesn't need to be good quality leather or anything. Color unimportant, size unimportant, any shape or size leather would do, though the longer the better. Looking for used and abused, broken and not worth repairing, any leather item that you were thinking of just throwing away.

I'm happy to pay your shipping costs! I'm in Parker, Colorado. Thanks!!!
where are we going, and why am I in this hand basket?

I know I have some old stirrup leathers and a leather halter or two that I will never get fixed. Do you want them? I'll look around for more stuff. Since I can't seem to throw tack away - even when it's not in good shape, I should have plenty more.....

PM me... I have some old stuff, just cleaned out my tack room (have one funky sized halter that will never fit anyone and I think some stirrup leathers.) How do you want to handle shipping costs? Maybe a flat rate priority mail box?

I brought the whole bag in with me to work so I can get them packed up and mailed to you. Still waiting for PM to let me know where to send.

You guys rock. I love COTH. More PMs on the way!!!

To make sure I get your shipping costs covered, make sure your username and real name/address is on or in the package (as long as the cost is obvious), or send me a PM or email (thegillmors at msn dot com) and I'll pop checks in the mail.

    Thanks again everybody!

    Default PM Me

I have an old bridle that has been taking up space for 15+ years. I just could never throw it away. If you can immortalize it, its yours

PM me to tell me how to go about this.

    Alex

I built wooden frames, then weave together the leather strips with recycled fabrics from Goodwill, etc. into a neato pattern. Fun colors and textures with the leather!

I have a whole box of old harness pieces, some very long, some not. It is big and heavy, was about $50 in shipping when I got it and that was a year or two ago. My project did not come to pass and I have been hanging on to it for I do not know why. You can have it for shipping costs if you want.
