talk me out of this!
The last thing I need is another cart. I have a beautiful village cart, an Amish courting buggy and a training cart; I store one and soon to be two mini carts for clients. I was idiotic and did not put a back door in the carriage house (note to self...) so pretty much have to move them all around all the time. I do not need another cart.
But.
An acquaintance just offered to sell me the pony cart his dad made 50 years ago, its wooden body built on antique metalwork.
It's a four-seater (back to back seats) with gig shafts, an adjustable-height chassis, eliptical springs, a spare pair of horse-sized shafts, never used but a bit dry. It has wooden wheels in good condition, rubbered, the rubber also in good condition.
The balance is not good -- it does not zero out anywhere near level, and with weight in the front seat it actually becomes worse. But 20 pounds of weight added to the floor in back creates balance without anyone mounted, and a bit more would no doubt even it out with driver/front seat passenger (there were only two of us so I couldn't check this theory).
The upholstery is well done and in good condition. The cabinetry is good to excellent. It has been lovingly stored.
The price is reasonable for good times, perhaps a bit high for our current weird economy.
I could use it. I don't need it. Talk me out of it.
Thanks all!
Dale

Carriage for sale
Well I do know someone who is selling a very nice WCC vehicle for a very sensible price so now that fate took you away from the other one I would think you are destined to look at this one!
