    Default Silver Creek Stallions?

Watching the live feed of the RPSI inspection at SilverCreek Sporthorses, I was wowed by some of the offspring of their stallions. Who has babes from this impressive line up? Apiro? Vallado? Landwerder (the fine old gent) in particular?

Love to see them if any of you have offspring!

I love my Landwerder (aka Silver Lining) 3 year old filly. Rideability just doesn't get any better than hers!

I also love Cathalido. I bred a Holsteiner mare to him and was really happy with the result. He is a sire that consistently outproduces himself. He really stamps his offspring.

I have no experience with the other stallions but I really like Sixpound's 2008 Vallado foal. I've also been really impressed by Apiro's offspring.

What I like best is that Silver Creek has made the stud fees and other costs very afforable for mare owners. Maybe some day they will consider buying a dressage stallion. [Hint, hint] lol

I too appreciate the quality they offer at a great price - with frozen being so cost-efficient and convienent (for those of us with great repro vets of course!), I think it is a great incentive to stay competitive with that market.

And Landwerder is great - I am really surprised he isn't used more here - considering he is a full brother to Landor S (who plays quite the role over at the Sosath's), and a son of the wonderful Landadel. If my mare was just a little shorter through the back, she would have had a date with his box

If I had a chance, a good mare, some extra change lying around I might consider Autobahn for a dressage foal. I know he is a jumper, but I see something special there.

I love Landwerder. I just adore him to pieces.

I do not have any offspring from any of the stallions but those two would be my top picks. I believe Landwerder is worth his weight in gold temperment-wise! The other boys are wonderful, don't get me wrong.

EquineLVR... ditto the Autobahn comments. He is amazing and what a motherline! Stamm 776... the #1 stamm in the world for sporthorse production! I bred my beautiful Latano II/Caletto II stamm 4 mare to him for a 2009 foal. Can hardly wait to see that foal!!

    Talking Silver Creek

My partner and I bred quite a few to their boys this year and the customer service was tops! They bred a Prince Habish mare to Apiro, a Lando mare to Apiro and a Best of Luck mare to Cathalido. We also bred our Elite Voltaire mare to Cathalido.

We previously bred a mare to Landwerder and had an OUTSTANDING hunter prospect.

Amy, I couldn't agree with you more! I took my 3 yo filly today on a day trip to a local h/j stable and she was perfect in every way. I unloaded her, tacked her up, hopped up and off we went - w/t/c. She never spooked or even looked at a thing. She worked with other horse in the arena and never became distracted by him or the other horses and people in the isleways who were tacking up and untacking. Today was the first time she was ridden away from home. She is such a joy to be around. Today was a wonderful day and I'm on cloud 9. I'm so proud of her.

I will echo everyone's sentiments on how wonderful Silver Creek is to work with. They are professionals in every sense of the word. I also appreciate that they have made such nice stallions available to mare owners for very reasonable fees.

I bred mares to Vallado and Landwerder last year, but sadly lost the Landwerder filly shortly after birth.
I have bred two mares to Silver Creek stallions again this year, Cathalido and Apiro.
Autobahn is on my short list too!

I am thrilled with my Vallado colt, Thank you very much for the nice comments on him. I would have bred the mare back to him this season had he been available when she was ready, but he has been sent off to work toward his performance requirements in the Jumper ring.

Here are some recent photos of my little man, Diablo. He is just over 3 months old.

I LOVE 6#'s Vallado colt! He is definitely drool-worthy.

Wanna see Maybach free jump? I hesitate posting it though because of her "baby belly" which is slightly swinging. She's about 4 months along now and has lost her "girly" figure. It's not my fault though! She's just an easy keeper!

BTW, no one asked her to jump. She did it all on her own.

I leased out my TB mare to someone last year and she produced this lovely colt by Cathalido on July 19. Here he is at about a week old. He has legs for days!

    Default I heart Apiro

I got to meet Barbara and Apiro in Gulf Port last year. I've always liked Apiro from the get go and when I met him in person I was blown away! He just ate up the camera and posed like a model. He's such a ham! Barbara was awesome to talk too and she was very nice. When I have the money I will be breeding my mare to Apiro.

I mean, what's not to like about this sexy beast?

I saw Vallado in person at the spring RPSI Stallion Testing at Silver Creek this year. I was very impressed with this guy and even though he does hunters, I think he could be very successful as a dressage horse.
