Wanted dead quiet pony for 5 yr old learning to trot
My daughter has a nice medium pony that we have been using for leadline. However, he is too bright for me to let her trot off the lead, and half the time when i am trotting her now i have to hold him back. I am looking for something that she can ride around herself, learn to steer, stop, go, trot. She is posting now, but as i said the pony is too bright and i won't let her ride by herself.
If you email me I can send you photos and the description of one of our ponies we just finished summer camp with. He will be in the equine marketer for Sept.
We are in Bucks County PA email@example.com
I sold my daughter's first pony to a friend of mine when she outgrew him. She in turn donated him to a rescue when her child outgrew him. She just called me and said the rescue is closing down and is looking to place him into a home for free. I believe he is in PA but will have to double check. He has navicular but is sound with proper shoeing. She said he was barefoot at the time so not sound but could be. He will walk trot all day long but doesn't want to do a whole lot more than that. Very dependable on trails and completely safe both on the ground and while riding. He is a 14.2 quarter pony that was substantial enough that I could ride him with no problems and I am 5'9" He took up my leg better than my 16 hand slab sided TB.
If you are interested, I will get you the contact info. Post here or PM me.
