    Default Our First Recognized Show

Here are a some pictures of Freddy and I during our first recognized show this past weekend. These pictures were taken by Donella's Mom. I am so pleased that she took these, otherwise I'd have to wait for the "official" photographer to get her pictures up to purchase some in order to share. Oh, before I forget, Donella did absolutely phenominal during her tests as well.

These pictures are from our first try at Training Level Test 2. The judge was Axel Steiner and we achieved a 61.429% for 5th place. We got a total of seven – 7’s including for Gaits. We also did Walk/Trot B for Axel and received a 69.048% (on Friday) (got 2 – 8’s). Also on Friday, we did Walk/Trot A for Natalie Lamping and received a 69.500%. On Saturday, We did Walk/Trot B for Joan Macartney and got a 68.571% (lost 2 points for going off course). We were supposed to do Walk/Trot test A for Axel as well, however, during our warmup, we had a freak occurance and Freddy picked up a safety pin in his hoof. He is OK and we have scrubbed and poulticed his foot.

Oh, We were also Walk/Trot Champions for this show and received as our prize a wonderful pair of magnetic boots!! We have a long ways to go, but we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel after the accident in June.

You guys look great! i wish i could have seen you guys go (and competed myself!)
    Next show!!
In my opinion, a horse is the animal to have. 1300 pounds of raw muscle, power, grace, and sweat between your legs - it's something you just can't get from a pet hamster.

    Thanks Guys,

the show was absolutely fantastic. Yesterday's clinic went even better, such a fantastic educational opportunity to learn.

I am hoping we continue to make the same progress that we have as of late. The Alberta dressage scene is very hot at the present time.

You are concentrating, and looking ahead more, and your body is aligned better than the other photos. Keep a copy of this on your computer to realign your mind. Good going! Have a ball and continue riding at those shows. Congrats.
