He's a cool horse! His breeder told me that he was "royalty".

I've had another buckfinder horse http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/bucks+little+bean, but he was a sales horse and he was pretty cool but he went to Canada when he sold and I'm not sure what's become of him.

Another horse that is also by buckfinder, and has done really well in zone 5, in the hunter ring is Just Harry.

My mare's picture is here http://pets.webshots.com/photo/11758...48355902FhYmFQ She is by the Dutch stallion Anriejetto and her dam was a TB. Her sire was very successful at Dressage at Devon, and she got his fabulous movement, but hers was far more hunter than dressage, lucky for me since she was bred to be the seller's big dressage horse!

No, he hasn't seen her do anything in person, just some video footage of her with me. We're all pretty excited about her though .
Rox Dene had two by Loyal Pal; the gelding is doing the childrens in NC, and the mare belongs to a woman in NY still I believe, although I haven't heard anything about it for a while.

    Here's my guy

    http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/inde...small_font=1&l=

I'm so proud, he can do it all. Hunters, jumpers, & he is especially good at the eq tests. The more technical & complex the task is, the more he likes it. I'm not really sure how much of that if any is because of his breeding, but I saw the thread & have been anxious to join in. I've done a little research in the past to find that dressage & jumpers would most likely be my boy's forte, but he seems to excel in just about everything! If anyone can fill me in more in depth as far as his pedigree, what it means, any highlights, it'd be great!

I have a teeny little pony so she will not be up there. But the USEF has her under Breed: WELSH PONY/THOROUGHBRED, even though she has no idea what gallop means!

It's a mix of jumper and dressage specialists, which is not always a perfect thing! The graphit and Donnerhall are very big lines for dressage, wonderful rhythm and lovely relaxed and flexible movement.

the bottom is where you get the jumping from, and that's good because often the temperment comes from the mare. Corde/Landgraf is just plain good jumping lineage, great technique and attitude, crossed with Furioso, who has been no slouch himself, mainly through the good dutch son Voltaire. Scope, and sensibility.

The top can be tempermental, but if you've gotten past that, you should be able to make the most of the pedigree...

Thank you so much for the additional insight into my boy's pedigree! He is indeed a very comfy, smooth & flexible mover. And yes, a bit tempermental at times, but nothing that can't be worked past rather quickly. As I mentioned in my OP, he likes the complex things, which tend to be the cure to his "mood swings". Once he's in the zone, it's not an issue.

Thank you again, it's great to have learned a little more about what (and who) makes my horse.
