I got the sad news this morning that my dear friend, who posted here as Tory Relic, passed away of what apparently was a massive heart attack. This was a huge shock; I’m still reeling, as are her husband, family and friends. Since we met via COTH and TR was a fairly regular poster here, it seems appropriate to post a small tribute.
TR was the first to befriend me when I moved to this area. We had “met” first on COTH and then serendipitously in person shortly after I arrived here. Talk quickly turned to horses, COTH was mentioned and we realized we already knew each other, at least electronically. Some people don’t live up to their electronic personas in real life; TR was not such a person! She was amazingly easy-to-be-with, very generous with her time and skills, and a very dedicated horsewoman. She had recently returned professionally to her true passion – horsecare, training and riding instruction – and was very happy, as well as becoming successful. I am in shock that she will not be here to see that dream all the way through to fruition.
Vale, TR, my wonderful friend. I hope you are having some wonderful gallops in the Summerland.

I'm so sorry to read this. My condolences go out to all her loved ones.
(Might I suggest that you consider putting her name in the title of this thread so people will be more likely to see it? Unfortunately there are so many "lost an [equine] friend" threads, especially lately it seems, that people who fondly remember Tory Relic might not ever see this thread.)
Anymore, I try not to open threads with sad news, but this one somehow I looked at and I am glad, as I too looked forward to her posts, that will be no more.
We never know when things will change in a second.
