Default Fess up -- Who has a colored bridle?

Okay, so I was reading through the "'cause it looked cool!" thread, and noticed that several people mentioned having either completely colored bridles (I'm assuming nylon of some sort?) or bridles with colored padding.

So...who has one? And I want to see pictures!

(Cause secretly....SECRETLY...I want a bridle of a particular not-anywhere-near-leather-colored color....but would possibly settle for getting just that color as padding. )

Not a colored bridle, but I did get a really nice set of XC reins from my COTH secret santa that are BRIGHT green on the rubber part. I am going to use them, by gum! The color is bright but it's only a small amount, and they are otherwise REALLY nice reins, just the kind I like.

I don't (perish the thought ) but Dever UK have nice coloured bridles, and I *think* they're on sale right now for a very good price.

I still have in my "retired trunk" a black with green padding bridle. I bought it from Ricks about 15 yrs ago and haven't used it in 10 bc my old mare was a TB and my new guys are ISH's and the bridle doesn't fit.

I remember it being on sale for about $280 but can't remember what brand- maybe a Stubben? I should probably pull it out and clean it
    !
I have another one that is black with white padding. Again, it's in "the trunk". Maybe I should have spring cleaning in Feb?!?

Funny this thread should come up now- I was lurking on tack shop sites the other day looking for OS colored bridles! LOL!

I have a black one with red padding that I actually use for competition. Because I switched out the noseband for a figure eight, it's just the brownband that's got the red. It works for us.

I made my confession over on the other thread about my blue padded bridle. The one I have is no longer made and the closest I could find is this one (except mine is brown):

I have one. I have the same one CookiePony has but mine is Havana with Green padding I also use Royal blue rubber reins with it b/c the green reins that came with the bridle melted after many years. I used it on XC with my gelding.

Heres a pic of Peaches in it: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...3d&id=29605780

Found another: (dont laugh at my hot/bright colors, I was like 12, ok maybe 15 )

    Yep.

It's dark blue synthetic. I love it for schooling in the rain- I don't have to worry about my good leather bridles getting watermarked.

I've seen (and like) the coloured padded bridles. I think they look very smart- the colour isn't in your face at all.

I have a dream that one day I will have a black bridle with ivory/cream padding. Don't seem to see any for sale, though, excepting one really cheap looking brand that I found online. . . .

The navy padded bridle shown above is very classy!!

This site makes me so happy I can still ride a large pony/small horse - cobsized bridles in PINK and BLUE with blingy browbands. Woohoo.

I have a green nylon bridle for xc. It's actually a racing bridle. My profile pic shows it (ignore the rainbow reins - I had to replace my reins, and they were all I could find in rubber in the right width at the last minute...and, inertia being what it is, I kept them until the rubber melted a couple of years later... ).

I have always wanted one of the coloured padded bridles!

Do western bridles count? Cause I have a pink one and blue one for barrels. They're pony sized though so I can't use them on my horse for xc.

I have one! I found it at a horsetrial a couple years ago and had always wanted one AND it was only $70, so it became mine that day.
It's oakbark with hunter green padding, the 6th picture down on this page:

My trainer had a havana and hunter green padded bridle that I loved. (I think it was Courbette.) They were marked way down a few years ago and I finally broke down and ordered one and SLT canceled my order (without notifying me...) since they were a closeout and had sold out. I was so disappointed! BUT, I found a cheap knockoff on E-bay. It's made with cheap leather but I conditioned it and was able to get it pretty darn soft. It actually looks really nice! Now if only I can get a horse again so I can use it...
