Hey Guys, I just left the farm and got back in. YES I had to go out . I am very close to Both Trainer & the Owner. All I can say is it is VERY sad and devasting. To see that poor girl so upset and almost in a state of shock. Please can we all just give our condolences to her for her loss and let's be Thankful that she survived. To see those vehicles intertwined like that was heart wrenching to me. And then that poor Horse, he did NOT suffer at all it is beleived that he died from internal injuries and instantly. He is lying under the tree covered in his coolers waiting for his final burial. Trust me she really loved this horse , and worshipped the ground he walked on. Veronica, I JUST finished a wonderful lesson and was heading home on a very high from such a great ride. Her Family is all there with her , and she is surrounded with those love ones as well as Friends and Trainers. WE ALL felt that pain and by watching this young lady try to hold it together was commendable. IT is such a loss and tradgey. MAY YOU NOW RUN IN HORSE HEAVEN AND KNOW THAT VERONICA LOVED YOU DEARLY.. GOD SPEED AND VERONICA WE ALL LOVE YOU.
LETS JUST ALL WISH HER WELL, GIVE OUR CONDOLENCES, AND KNOW THAT THIS GIRL TRULY LOVED THAT HORSE.
SHE WAS A AWESOME RIDER AND GREAT FRIEND.
GO OUT AND GIVE YOUR HORSES/PONIES A BIG HUG AND KISS. FOR THEY ARE ALL LOVED I AM SURE OF.
I live in Chantilly, VA but I ride in Anytown, USA
Yes, terrible, terrible, terrible. I understand the crash was so bad that the semi is also totalled. I feel so terrible for the horse but like you, Equinox, there is comfort in knowing all the humans involved survived.
Equinox, I'm calling you....
"If you have the time, spend it. If you have a hand, lend it. If you have the money, give it. If you have a heart, share it." by me
Lots and lots of love to the owner of the horse! I can seriously NOT imagine. Something needs to be done about Rt.15. That road is too dangerous, not just for horse trailers but for regular vehicles as well.
