P.S. If you know what saddle Brianne Goutal rides in, please tell me.

Dunno about George, but when Brianne won the finals she was riding in a Bates. Don't know about now, but it was a Bates.

My guess would be whatever saddle best fits his / horse and him / her.

I bet they ride in different saddles depending on their horse.

Obviously, I know this. I was simply curious as to what saddles these two AMAZING riders rode in.

I know that Frank and Stacia always endorsed Bates but I don't think any of their kids rode in them. I remember a Devocoux board at a horse show saying Brianne rode in one of their saddles.

Wasn't all of the ammy hullabaloo regarding Brianne over her sponsopship by Devoucoux?! After all that, I'd hope she rides in their saddles!

She was riding as an amateur and then in a press release thanked her sponsors. Much backtracking and excusemaking followed. I have no idea whether any of it is true or not. I think the end result is that she stopped riding in the amateur classes.

I believe it is also probably leather.

In whatever saddle he / she gets from a sponsor.... The rest of us pay for them!

This is true. They always supported Bates, but none of their kids rode in them.

I for one would also be interested in the answer to this question. I don't think it's stupid at all given the variety of saddles out there. I think it would be very telling if say, George still rides in a Hermes Steinkraus given his choice, which would be my guess, despite the move to Butets etc. in the last 15 years.

    Default Hermes

I think it used to be a Hermes, don't know about now. My old Practical Horseman book if horsekeeping, or whatever it's called, had most riders in the hermes steinkraus.
with sponsorships now, it's hard to tell unless you go to their barns and see what the ride in when the public isn't watching,

Why George rides in a Hunterdon saddle, of course! Doesn't anybody else remember those? They were da bomb back in the day! Loved that london leather as at went through a green phase on it's way to darkening, LOL.

I believe Brianne Goutal rode/rides in a CWD.

As for George - I'm with the others; I'm sure he rides in a flat-as-a-pancake old Hermes or something similar.
