    Default National Awards for Anglo-Arabians

    Check out the Awards Program being sponsored by the North American Anglo-Arabian Horse Association.

    A trophy,ribbons and cooler...they're nice-but I'd prefer $$$
    AQHA in KY have great incentive program for the KY bred-$3500 per point!
    The Racing industry in IN (Indiana bred)-any owner of the mare/stallion of the horse racing receives (I believe)20% of the winnings for the life of the offspring.

    Well, its better than nothing, which was what they had before!!

    Last year's awards were very well received.

    I have a Trakehner that is 1/4 Arab... wishing he counted as Anglo-Arab, so we could go to dressage breed shows and get all these great prizes!!

    ML, where are you getting the $3,500 per point from? According to the KQHA site, the $ value per point for 2007 hasn't been figured yet, and for 2006 it was $2,700 per point, and with more people showing Kentucky breds in 2007 and even more now in 2008 it's going to change every year based on the number of foals bred and number of horses earning points. Seriously if it was $3,500, I would have read about it on the PHF and all I read there is $2,700, and since some of the movers and shakers involved in the program post there I'm sure it's correct.
