I don't think anyone said that your mares would be better off somewhere else, Picturesque. It was only mentioned that they were older mares.

    Is her husband Foxy, Windswept??

Indeed ! She had such a nice foal to Prelude some years back--that it just seemed right. ;-)

The mare you are discussing is the dam on my 2yo pony filly Saranade. My filly is fancy, fancy and looks to be "the hack winner". Based on what the mare throws, Foxtrot would be an ideal stallion.

Sorry if I overreacted to the posts about Netta. I just spend everything I make to have my babies and broodmares and never would want anyone to think that they have anything less than the best. Congratulations to those with hapy, healthy babies on the gournd. 5 foaled and 13 more to go!!

She has a very well bred Shenandoah pony mare by Cowboy Joe. What do you think as far as marketability as open vs in foal? She has a little age to her, but should still be fine for a few more foals. When my friend bought her off the Farnley Farm(she paid a lot for her) --she was in foal to Prelude and she had a beautiful foal. Given the economy and current market --what do you pony folks think? I can not breed her to my boy--as she throws big & the TB genetics would be too heavy.

Also--while you are thinking--- what do you think would be a good market plan for a medium pony broodmare-- by Cormac Run? Open vs in foal for optimum marketing?
Shenandoah Lullaby is now in foal to Otteridge Foxtrot. Caught on first attempt.
She is on Regumate as precautionary.
Now the delima-- I am thinking I want to keep her!!!! I have been living here with her since April and have fallen in love with the mare. She's quite nice. Decisions... Decisions. ..

    Cormac Run mare is sold.

Wow sounds like a nice mare/combo. I think you are getting quite the pony collection. Power has a nice harem of fine ponies.

    And congratulations on selling Lucky!

    Default It's a hearbeat!!! Yeah!!!

30 day hearbeat ultrasound!! Heartbeat and everything is going great.

Unfortunately, I have decided that I can not keep her--as much as I love this mare.
From a business standpoint, it does not make sense for me to buy a mare that I can not breed to my own stallion. She will have a fantastic foal. I just do not know if I can bear to take this sweet mare to the auction.

So keep her and breed her next year.

As much as I would love to-- she throws big and most likely with my boy will produce a small horse.

Great idea. Pictures of the other little guy are actually being taken today-- as we speak, getting ready to trailer him over to our training farm and get him cleaned up for a photo session.

Can't wait! We were actually discussing him last night at dinner. You have quite a few on your page that are very nice.
