Is there something missing from the blog thread/I didn't see? All I read in it was that they were hoping she'd go to the Olympics, but didn't see anything about retiring. Admittedly I scanned through quickly.

I think the point of the link is that, contrary to rumours, she is not retired, but is still in training.

Thanks, mbj, that makes sense. Thought I was losing my reading skills!

The thread linked is entitled "Matinee hopeful for the Olympics!" and the OP mentions that she wrote to BHStud and got this information, so not sure why that would be confusing.

Horse was injured when getting off transport truck, due to slippery surface of newly paved parking lot...at world cup.

She was pulled from the competition. Hope to see her back!

    Hmmm, let's see.

Because there was no mention of retirement in the blogpost at Horsebytes, or any supposed reason anyone might think the horse might be retired (no mention of an injury/illness in either thread or on the blog).

Neither thread suggested why people were 'hoping she makes it'. So I'm thinking, did she colic? Sprain a ligament? Have a meteorite strike her and project her into a neighboring field??

Not every person sits with fingers glued to the keyboard, gleaning minutae from the internet regarding the horse-stars of the world. Sometimes I don't even get a chance to visit COTH for weeks.

Thankyou to ec412 for posting the pertinent details

Well that's an Oh Shit moment. What a stupid way for an injury to happen, feel so sorry for her connections.

    Default blue hors matine

i wrote to the blue hors stud farm and they said Andreas is hoping to take Blue Hors Matine to the Olympics. He is choosing between Casmir and Matine. He went to World Cup dressage in March 2008 with Casmir. I am not sure what the issues are but we all miss Matine. Hope she is well

I've noticed lately she's been on the cover of a ton of 'rags. Possibly kind of a under-the-cover way to say she's doing okay and will be back? Glad to hear she's doing well, what a crummy way to injure yourself!

Obviously the only possible explanation. I have the inside scoop.

I'd tell but it's not Sunday.
