Speaking of little girls and ponies, I helped a friend with one of her students at a show a couple of years ago, and took this photo as the girl was riding around between classes. They had matching lavender ribbon on the pony's tail and the little girl's pigtails!

Most of my favorite candids are photos taken of my friend (Curb Appeal on this board) and her Morgan, Curb Appeal.

Many Shiba Inus are NOT other dog friendly. Even with socialization, you can still have aggression issues. The one I work with is viciously aggressive towards other dogs if they get within her bubble.

These are some of my favs...

This first one was actually taken by a friend...this version has been slightly photoshopped - the light glinting on the water has been enhanced I think. Even taking away the shading I still love it...her quiet peaceful expression, a kind gentle broodmare!

I probably have more, but I'm getting sleepy and these were the first ones I thought of:

Even WITH planning, you gotta have luck to get something like this:

Of course this one had to be out of focus, but it kinda works anyway:
    http://www.accphotography.com/newweb.../Edited/15.jpg

I like this one for some reason:
    http://www.accphotography.com/newweb...Edited/570.jpg

    My girl sleeps alot:

    Darn the bars:

    Wishing she was still down:

    Who are you?

My little reiner who has never been trained to rein:

    Stampede... sorta:

    Catch me if you can...:
    http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w...y/Lace/223.jpg

Believe it or not this actually truly was a candid, he worked them in tandem and was leading them back, I was in the right place at the right time:
    http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w...idandGirls.jpg

Four of my all time favorite candids (truly candid as well, taken in a series):

    http://www.accphotography.com/newweb...ckReidKiss.jpg
    http://www.accphotography.com/newweb.../HeadReid1.jpg

I was here to shoot photos of this horse so I'm not sure these are really "candid", but she did this of her own accord:

Can you reach it? I think so!:

    Awwww:

I believe my all time favorite photo, and totally candid:

    Sorry... I went overboard. LOL!

I am glad to see this thread has come back. It is a lot of fun the candids. I was recently in New York at the HITS show and I saved this series. Now normally I would consider it very bad taste to show a dramatic crash series but this one you have to admit has a lot going on and other than a bit of a bruised ego perhaps, noone was hurt through the process... and for lack of a better term...let's just call this horse the "energizer bunny". This was not my primary fence on course because it was back lit and early in the day. When the rider approached the fence, there was some miscommunication and well he just never got a good start coming through this in and out. The series as it played out was rather unusual and I am going to share it with you. Hopefully the rider will also find it amusing if she sees the series. I was not prepared for the series and it may be a little soft as I was mainly focused for the first fence. However, I just kept shooting and things got more and more bizarre.

    Hocus Focus!!!!!

Your photos are so AWESOME beyond words! The rider is so lucky to be athletic to help her fall down so gracefully. Her horse really does know his business!
    Will get a dream horse!
