    Default a sad morning

My beautiful mare (** English eventer) Tuppence aborted her foal this morning.
    She was 7 months pregnant.
The poor mare seems fine, but I am pretty heartbroken.
I look forward to all the foals, but this one I was really excited about.

    Fred, I am so sorry

We lost one of our great ones last night...33 years old. She was laid to rest with all of us patting her and tears falling all around her. She was a true mother who would adopt any baby who needed love, so perhaps she is up there looking after your little one right now. Have no fear, your baby is being cared for by one of the best.

I am sending big cyber hugs to you and your mare.

    Jennifer

I'm so, so sorry to hear that.
I'm battling placentitis in a mare right now and I hate the dread of just waiting for her to abort. My only foal I was expecting last year aborted b/c of placentitis and now I'm going through it again (different mare).

Fred, there are no words that I can say to make it better for you. I am so very, very sorry.

Jennifer, hugs to you also. Do you suppose your mare knew that the little one needed help crossing the bridge?

Uhg. Im so sorry to hear about your loss. We had two years straight of that. We almost gave up on all prized mare until one final effort paid off. Hugs from someone who knows what your going through, and hopes that none of us experience it ever again.

    Oh dear, Gail.

My condolences on the loss of your grandchild to be. That can be really hard.

You, yourself, said it perfectly on Twistoffates thread. About the loss of dreams.

Kick on. She'll come through for you this year.
