The foxhunter who has everything....
...or so it seems. Any suggestions for x-mas gifts? She has just about every piece of tack you could ever need, all the clothing, pictures, flasks, whips....I'm stumped. I know she loves all the decor but should I pass on a FH gift and find something else to give her?

An antique St. Hubert's medal on a beautiful cord? An aerial map of the country she hunts?
Crane has a beautiful (and subtle) folding note with a riding boot on it - a set of those?

How about a print of some hounds?

I have two prints of his hound art (the first and the third one shown on the website), and they are really stunning (esp. the 3rd one). They come in multiple sizes (and prices).

A framed 18th or 19th century map of the area she hunts? They're so pretty, and interesting to study! Ebay and Google are your friends....
Depending on your budget, what about a holiday spent foxhunting in another country, eg Ireland, France, etc.
A book of coupons for massages with a professional RMT, one for after every time she hunts for a year!

Horse cookies? Those are ALWAYS appreciated!
When in doubt, I give a food item. Omaha Steaks, Harry & David, homemade horse treats (or the fancy kind in Smartpak).

Riding Gloves. They are a consumable. No matter what I do to clean and preserve them, they always end up looking like crap after a few rainy rides. Fresh new gloves are always appreciated.

Does her hunt get photographed ? We got our trainer - also a whip with our hunt - a nice print of her on her horse in a nice frame.

special stock pin?
How about a stock pin with her brass small hunt button on it? Always wanted one of them. I think they're lovely!! I guess they're kosher for formal season but if not; there's always ratcatcher days. And honestly, I don't know if you could/should wear them if she hasn't been awarded her buttons. I'll leave that to the etiquette police.

Do you know if folks are pleased with his commissioned pieces? I have been toying with the idea of commissioning a portrait of one of my horses. I love all my animals - but this horse is very precious to me for some reason.

Get her one of the Gordon Grand books, if she doesn't already have those- in particular the Silver Horn.
